Getting Your Disability Parking Permit in Belrose
In Belrose, residents and visitors with mobility disabilities can apply for a Mobility Parking Scheme permit through Service NSW. There are two permit types available: the individual permit, which is valid for five years, and the temporary permit, valid for up to six months. The individual permit is designed for those with permanent disabilities. On the other hand, temporary permits assist people who are recovering from injuries or conditions that affect mobility. Both types grant access to designated disability parking bays located near essential places like Belrose Village Shopping Centre and the Belrose Hotel.
The application process begins with gathering medical documentation. Your doctor must complete a medical certificate that confirms your mobility-related disability. If you hold a NSW driver's licence, your GP may also assess your fitness to drive, particularly for first-time applications. Once your paperwork is ready, you can submit it online or visit a Service NSW centre in person. If your condition requires one, photo exemptions can be arranged before submission.
