Frequently Asked Questions
What Can I Take a Photo Of?
A parking sign (can I park here, and until when), a parking fine (check it and start an appeal), a car park level or bay sign such as Orange E14 (so Find My Parked Car remembers where you parked), or a pay-and-display ticket (Parksy reads the expiry and starts a parking timer).
Do I Need an Account?
No. Parking Photo Help is free to try with no sign-up. Reading a photo uses AI credits: a parking sign uses 3, a level sign or ticket uses 1, and a photo that shows nothing readable uses none. You get 10 credits a week without an account, 100 a month with a free account and 1,000 a month with VIP.
How Does Pay Ticket Start a Timer?
Parksy reads the expiry time printed on your pay-and-display ticket and shows it for you to check. One tap starts a parking timer that warns you before your time runs out. If you are signed in, the ticket photo is kept with the timer in My History.
How Does Where I Parked Work?
Take a photo of the level, row or bay sign nearest your car, such as Orange E14. Parksy reads the label and opens Find My Parked Car with your photo and the label ready, so one tap on Save My Parking Spot keeps them with your location.
What Happens With a Parking Fine Photo?
Parksy opens the appeal tool with your photo, reads the fine details for you to check, asks a few questions and writes an appeal letter you can send.
Is My Photo Stored?
Your photos are never published. To give you an answer, the photo is read by the AI that powers Parksy. Parking sign photos are kept privately to improve the Sign Scanner, and fine photos go to the appeal tool, as described on those pages. If you are signed in, Find My Parked Car and My History keep your level sign and ticket photos so you can see them later, and you can delete them any time.
Is the Answer a Legal Guarantee?
No. Parksy reads your photo to help you, but it is not legal advice. Always check the sign or ticket yourself, especially if the photo was blurry.
Parking Photo Help reads photos to help you, but it isn't a legal guarantee. Always check the sign or ticket yourself before you leave the car.
