Managing Your Mobility Parking Permit Long-Term

Temporary permits, which last up to six months, suit those recovering from recent injuries or managing acute conditions. Keep your medical documentation updated with your healthcare provider. If you change your address, notify Service NSW within 14 days to avoid delays. Your parking permit is personal, so never lend it to others or allow unauthorized use. Doing so violates NSW regulations and jeopardizes your access.
Renewal is simple: apply before your expiration date using the same online process. You'll need current medical certification that confirms your ongoing eligibility. Processing typically takes 5-10 business days, so plan ahead during busy periods. Always keep your permit visible in your vehicle when parked in accessible parking spaces.
