Payment Deadlines and Financial Consequences
You have exactly 28 days from the issue date to pay your parking fine before additional action occurs. Missing this deadline triggers a reminder notice, extending your time by another 28 days but adding a late fee to your total. If your fine exceeds $200, you can apply for a payment plan arrangement to settle the amount in instalments. The Brisbane City Council offers flexible payment methods including online transfers, BPAY, and in-person payments at local service centres.
Allow at least three business days for online payments to process after receiving your fine. If you miss both payment windows, your fine escalates to the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) for enforcement action. Financial hardship assistance is available by calling 1300 012 747 to discuss your circumstances with council staff. For detailed payment instructions and timelines, review the Brisbane parking tickets and fines guide on the official council website.
