Overstaying a permitted parking period in New South Wales can attract a $140 penalty (chalked.cc). The amount applies to the parking offence of remaining beyond the authorised period, while parking in a disabled space without entitlement can attract a different penalty of $704. These amounts concern the offence, not a fee for using a lawful free period.
Transport for NSW states that financial and other penalties may apply when a commuter car park user fails to comply with the facility terms or other information displayed at the car park (transportnsw.info). Transport for NSW can also move or tow a vehicle after a breach, with the vehicle owner liable for costs incurred by the operator. A NSW penalty notice contains the penalty notice number and offence date used to access payment or review options (criminaldefencelawyers.com.au).
