Brisbane City Council requires a driver using a 15-minute free space to register the vehicle, even when no payment is due; failing to register the parking session can result in a fine (brisbane.qld.gov.au). A parking space restricted to a regulated parking permit area is not a general free option, because the permit condition applies to the eligible permit holder rather than every South Brisbane driver.

Secure Parking’s SW1 car park is at 32 Cordelia Street, South Brisbane, and is positioned for the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, QPAC, the Glasshouse Theatre, South Bank and nearby cultural attractions. The operator lists weekday all-day parking from $17, flexible early-bird parking from $18 on weekdays, and weekend or public-holiday parking from $25 (secureparking.com.au).
SW1 operates 24 hours and event parking rates may apply when a major South Bank or nearby event creates high demand (secureparking.com.au). South Brisbane Parking Fines, Payment and Review Options
The charge can apply when a driver fails to register a required free parking session or breaches the paid-parking conditions.
Queensland transport rules give the recipient 28 days from the issue date on the fine to pay it in full or establish a payment plan for fines of $200 or more (qld.gov.au). Brisbane City Council states that an unpaid parking notice may attract additional fees and provides phone assistance on 1300 012 747 (brisbane.qld.gov.au). A driver who disputes the notice can use the review or infringement process attached to the notice rather than ignoring the due date.
