Parking Near Nedlands
Free Street Parking Across Nedlands
The City of Nedlands provides free unrestricted parking in the majority of streets within the council area, making ordinary street bays the main general option for drivers who can find an unrestricted space (City of Nedlands). The City also provides free time-restricted parking in most streets, so a signed timed bay can be used without a payment machine or parking fee.
The permitted duration belongs to the individual street or bay, so the sign beside the vehicle determines whether the space is unrestricted or time limited. A street bay is available to residents and visitors unless a sign reserves it for a particular user group, such as a permit holder.

Nedlands Time Limits, Permits and Accessible-Bay Concessions
A Nedlands time-restricted bay remains free only for the period shown on its street sign. After the permitted time expires, the City allows a driver to move to a different street, but the vehicle must leave the area for at least two hours before returning to the same street (City of Nedlands).
An ACROD permit allows double the signed time limit in a time-restricted bay, while the vehicle must leave when that extended time expires. A permit does not authorise parking in a no-parking area, no-stopping area, across a footpath or on another resident's verge without consent.
Nedlands Parking Infringements, Payment and Appeals
The City of Nedlands requires a parking infringement to be paid within 28 days of issue (City of Nedlands). If payment is not received, the City sends a final demand with an additional $27.60 fee and gives a further 28 days to pay. Failure to pay after that period can register the infringement with the Fines Enforcement Registry, with possible driver's licence or vehicle-licence suspension and additional fees.
A Nedlands parking infringement appeal must be lodged in writing within 28 days of the infringement notice and include supporting evidence. Payment and infringement enquiries can be directed to City of Nedlands offices on 08 9273 3500, while the infringement portal identifies the same council contact for drivers who cannot find an infringement notice number.
