Bend Time Limits, Permits, and Accessible-Space Rules
Downtown street parking in Bend is free, but each space keeps its posted limit, which can range from 15 minutes to all day (bendoregon.gov). When a downtown limit expires, the City requires the vehicle to move at least one block. A vehicle cannot remain in the same public-street or city-owned-lot space for more than 72 hours.
City enforcement operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday except holidays, while no-parking zones, loading zones, and other safety restrictions can apply at all times (bendoregon.gov). A valid Oregon or out-of-state ADA placard does not remove a 30-minute-or-less limit, and a gated garage still requires payment to exit. A wheelchair-accessible ADA space requires a Wheelchair User placard, and red or yellow curbs are no-parking areas.
A Priced Parksy Garage Space Near Central Bend
Parksy lists a secure garage space in Bend, Oregon, 0.2 miles away, at $10 a day. The listing identifies the space as a garage, making it a priced option for a driver who needs a reserved off-street place when free curb spaces or free lots are full.
Parksy also lists RV and boat storage in Bend, Oregon, at $75 a month and 7.0 miles away. The listing identifies that space as storage rather than ordinary short-stay parking, so it suits an RV or boat owner needing a longer-term place rather than a visitor looking for a downtown stop. These are the two priced Parksy options shown for Bend, with the secure garage closer to the central parking search and the storage space farther from town.
Free Parking Pressure During Bend’s Busy Periods
Downtown Bend’s on-street spaces fill quickly, and the City recommends paid lots for longer visits or busy times (bendoregon.gov). The Old Mill District provides more than 1,400 free spaces in designated lots off Bond Street, Columbia Street, and SW Bluff Drive, with overflow at the Riverbend Dog Park lot.
The North Mirror Pond and South Mirror Pond facilities at 925 NW Brooks Street and 801 NW Brooks Street charge $1 an hour and allow a six-hour maximum, while the lot at 1056 NW Wall Street charges $1 an hour with a four-hour maximum (bendoregon.gov).
Bend Parking Tickets and the Municipal Court Process
Bend meter and overtime tickets start at $12, rise to $25 when unpaid or uncontested after six days, and rise to $45 after 10 days (bendoregon.gov). These amounts apply to the violation categories identified by the City, not to a general free-parking charge.
If the driver does nothing within that period, Bend Municipal Court enters a default judgment and adds a $50 Failure to Appear fee; a vehicle can later be immobilized or towed if the debt remains unpaid (bendoregon.gov). Bend Municipal Court handles payments and contests, and citation payment is available through the City’s online parking-citation service or in person.
