Bremerton Park-and-Rides When Downtown Spaces Fill
Bremerton’s free downtown spaces are most useful outside the daytime demand created by ferry travel, work commutes, and downtown events. Drivers who cannot find a suitable curb space can use the Bremerton United Methodist Church park-and-ride at Marina Drive and Dora Street, the Crossroads Neighborhood Church park-and-ride at Fairgrounds Road and Old Military Road, the Gateway Center park-and-ride at 6th Street and Montgomery, or the McWilliams Road park-and-ride at SR 303 and McWilliams Road (wsdot.wa.gov).
The McWilliams Road site has 151 spaces and bus service toward local ferry terminals, including the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry and PSNS Bangor (mapquest.com).
Parksy Parking Near Bremerton’s Marina Square
When free downtown curb parking is full, Convenient Marina Square Garage Parking in Bremerton is a priced garage space 0.5 miles away at $25 a day. The garage suits drivers who need a nearby, paid option for a full day rather than continuing to circle for an evening curb space.
Drivers seeking longer-term storage outside Bremerton can use Secure Silverdale RV & Boat Storage or Secure Outdoor RV & Boat Storage in Silverdale, each 6.4 miles away at $45 a month. Those spaces suit RV or boat owners looking for monthly storage, not drivers who need a short walk to downtown Bremerton. The nearby priced options therefore cover different needs: Marina Square is the practical close-in choice, while the Silverdale spaces are monthly storage alternatives.
Bremerton Parking Enforcement, Citations, and Booting
Impark handles Bremerton’s parking enforcement, customer service, meter and lot issues, monthly parking, and payment notices under contract with the city. City garages, lots, and on-street parking areas use electronic pay stations that accept cash, coins, Visa, and MasterCard, and Impark also offers phone payment through PayByPhone (bremertonwa.gov).
Bremerton’s enforcement process can escalate when citations remain unpaid. A vehicle with unpaid citations may receive a Chronic Nuisance designation and be immobilized with a boot while parking in the city. An owner of a booted vehicle has 48 hours to pay outstanding tickets and the boot fee or address the citations with Municipal Court; after 48 hours, the vehicle may be impounded. Citations can be paid online or by phone through the court-payment service, while the boot fee and boot release are handled through Impark at 360-616-4808 (bremertonwa.gov).
