Parking Near Seattle
Free Sunday street parking in Seattle neighborhoods
Seattle street parking in most neighborhoods is free on Sundays and certain holidays, so a Sunday visit can avoid the normal on-street payment requirement (seattle.gov).
Seattle’s free Sunday and holiday treatment does not remove every restriction. Seattle waterfront and Pioneer Square streets can retain posted Sunday time limits, while Seattle’s Uptown neighborhood near Climate Pledge Arena can charge special-event parking rates on event days expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees (newseattlewaterfront.org; seattle.gov). Seattle drivers can therefore use eligible unpaid curb spaces on free days, but only where the individual sign allows parking.
Parksy Seattle spaces when unpaid curb parking is full
Parksy’s nearby Seattle listings are paid parking options rather than free spaces.
Parksy also lists a paid garage at Ballard Blocks 2, a secure space at A0787 - Sentral First Hill, a convenient space identified as SQ79, and parking at The Hotel Murano in Seattle. These garage and off-street spaces suit drivers who need a reserved alternative after free curb spaces fill, particularly around Seattle destinations where Sunday exceptions or event restrictions do not apply.
Seattle signs, time limits, and permits that control free spaces
Seattle’s Residential Parking Zone streets allow a vehicle with an RPZ permit to park for up to 72 hours, while a vehicle without that permit remains subject to the posted limit (seattle.gov). Seattle disabled spaces require the driver or passenger to have a disability and the vehicle to display a valid disabled placard, license plate, or tab. Seattle curb rules also allow all vehicles to stop for 3 minutes for passenger pickup or drop-off at white curbs, but loading, red curb, bus, sidewalk, hydrant, driveway, and crosswalk restrictions remain enforceable.
Seattle parking-ticket amounts and enforcement steps
Seattle’s improper use of a designated disabled parking space or permit carries a fine of up to $450 (seattle.gov).
Seattle gives a ticketed driver 15 days to act, according to the city’s parking-sign guidance (seattle.gov). Seattle drivers whose vehicles are towed from a public street can contact Lincoln Towing at (206) 364-2000 to locate and reclaim the vehicle, while Seattle’s cited guidance provides the payment and ticket-action deadline rather than a general single fine amount.
