One of the primary impound yards operates in Midland, approximately 15 kilometres from Ellenbrook, and can be reached at 138 138 for inquiries. This service, managed by Main Roads Western Australia, operates from 7 AM to 7 PM on weekdays and provides accurate information about your vehicle status and what you need to retrieve it.

The staff will confirm whether your car is in their facility and provide an exact breakdown of all charges. Most towing companies accept multiple payment methods including credit cards and EFTPOS, making the recovery process more convenient once you've assembled the necessary documentation. Time is critical here, as daily storage fees accumulate rapidly. The longer your vehicle remains in the impound, the higher your total cost becomes.
Disputing Wrongful Towing in Ellenbrook
If you believe your vehicle was towed without justification, you have rights and procedures available to challenge the decision. According to Main Roads Western Australia towing guidelines, every driver can contest a towing decision if evidence supports your claim. Gather documentation including the exact time, date, location, and photographs of any signage (or lack thereof) at the parking spot. If the zone lacked proper warning signs indicating a towing zone, you have grounds for a strong dispute with both the towing operator and the local authority.
Compensation claims may be initiated if you can prove your vehicle was towed without just cause. Contact the towing company directly to discuss the situation and request documentation of why your vehicle was removed. If damage occurred during the towing process, this strengthens your case for financial recovery. The City of Swan council can provide guidance on filing formal complaints against operators who acted improperly. Document everything and maintain copies of all correspondence throughout the dispute process. This methodical approach protects your interests and increases your chances of success.
