Posting a parking space on Parksy is free, takes about 5 minutes and follows the same 6 steps whether you have a driveway, a garage, a spot in a building or a small lot. This guide walks through each step, how to pick a price and what you get once your listing is live.

Before You Start
- A free Parksy account. You can sign up with email, Google, Apple, Microsoft or Facebook.
- The right to rent the space. If you rent your home or live in an apartment building, check your lease, strata or HOA rules first. Our guide to proving you control a space explains what renters will ask for.
- One clear photo taken in daylight, showing the entrance and the space itself.
Why the Steps Are in This Order
The form asks for the address first because almost everything else depends on it. The address sets your country, which sets the currency your prices are shown in and the phone country code. It also tells the price calculator where your space is, so by the time you reach the price step it can suggest a figure in one click instead of asking you to type the address twice.
The space details come next because they change the price. A covered garage with a remote is worth more than an open driveway on the same street, and the calculator adjusts for both. The photo comes before the title and description so the AI can write them from everything you have already entered. Contact details come last because they are optional: your account email is already on the listing, and a phone number is nice to have rather than required.
This is the same order most large rental platforms use: where it is, what it is, what it costs, then how it looks.
The 6 Steps
Step 1: Where Is It?
Choose Offering if you have a space to rent, or Wanted if you are looking for one. Then start typing the address and pick it from the list. The address fills in your country, city and postcode, which sets the currency for your prices. Your exact street address is used to place the listing in search. If you prefer, give the nearest corner instead and share the exact spot with your renter later.
When to choose Wanted: if you work near a hospital, a university or a city centre and cannot find a monthly space, a Wanted listing lets space owners nearby come to you. Put the most you would pay in the price step and say which hours you need the space, for example weekdays 7am to 7pm.
Step 2: What Is It?
Pick the space type (driveway, home or commercial garage, lot, underground, street and so on), the vehicles it fits and its features. Drivers filter by features such as Covered, Gated, Key / Remote / App, CCTV, Electric Charging and Disabled Bay, so tick every one that applies. A space that fits an SUV or a van is worth saying so, because many garages do not.
Step 3: Set Your Price
Enter an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly price, or 0 for price on application. Not sure what to charge? Click Not sure what to charge? Work it out under the monthly price. The calculator uses the address and space details you already entered to suggest a monthly figure, and one click puts it in the form. You can also try it first on the car space value calculator. Most people start slightly below nearby spaces to find a renter quickly, then raise the price at renewal.
Some examples from the calculator in September 2026, for an indoor space with a key or remote:
- Brooklyn, New York (11201): about US$305 to US$455 a month, suggested US$380.
- Surry Hills, Sydney (2010): about A$225 to A$335 a month, suggested A$280. In Australia and New Zealand renters often think in weekly prices, so the form fills in a weekly figure too.
- Kuala Lumpur: about RM 240 to RM 370 a month, suggested RM 305, based on 243 Parksy listings in the city.
The same space outdoors and without secure access usually comes out about 20 percent lower. Treat any figure as a starting point, not a valuation, and compare it with similar spaces near you on Parksy before you settle on a price.
Step 4: Add a Photo
Upload one photo (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 2 MB), then click Generate Alt & Title. The AI writes a short description of the image so it reads well in search and for people using screen readers.
Step 5: Title and Description
Write your own, or click Generate Title & Description and the AI writes both from everything you entered above. Read it before you publish. Good descriptions mention access hours, how the renter gets in, the nearest station or landmark and any height or width limits.
For example: "Secure single garage under a quiet apartment block, 4 minutes' walk from Central Station. Remote-controlled gate, access 24/7. Fits a small SUV (2.1 m clearance). Monthly only, first month in advance." Four short sentences answer the questions renters ask most, so you get fewer back-and-forth messages and more serious enquiries.
Step 6: Contact Options (Optional)
Your account email is already set. Adding a phone number or a booking link usually brings more replies. Parksy does not take payments for private rentals: you agree the terms and the payment method directly with your renter.

After You Publish: Your Parking Provider Kit
As soon as your listing is live you are taken to your free Parking Provider Kit. It is filled in from your listing, so there is nothing to type twice:
- A printable tear-off poster with your own contact details on the tabs, for your building noticeboard or a local community board (always with permission, never on poles or public property).
- A rental agreement with the address, price, notice period and access already filled in. Add your renter's name and vehicle, then both of you sign.
- Simple steps if something goes wrong, from talking it through to the formal options in your country.
You can open the Kit again any time from your account menu under My parking.
Stay Safe
- Show the space in person or by video before any money changes hands.
- Be wary of anyone who wants to pay more than you asked, pay by gift card or move the conversation to another app straight away.
- Take dated photos of the space at the start and end of each rental.
The Parksy Safety Guide and our community guidelines cover the rest.
