Woollahra Permit Zones and Limits That Affect Free Parking
Woollahra Council enforces statutory and sign-posted restrictions under the NSW Road Rules, so an apparently free kerbside space remains subject to its displayed limit and operating conditions (woollahra.nsw.gov.au). Resident parking zones include Anderson Street, Bay Street, Beach Street, Bellevue Road in Double Bay, Carlotta Road, Cooper Street in Double Bay, Court Road, Cross Street and Epping Road. A resident permit does not make general parking free because it is available only to eligible residents in the specific permit area.
A Woollahra resident permit allows unrestricted parking only where signs state “Authorised Resident Vehicles Excepted” or “Permit Holders Accepted”, and only within the specific area shown on the permit (woollahra.nsw.gov.au). A health carer permit is available to residents requiring specialised in-home care from a registered health care professional or approved service. Mobility spaces remain subject to the relevant NSW Road Rules and displayed conditions.

For a longer visit, the lowest-priced nearby Parksy choice is the Double Bay secure garage at $4 an hour. A Woollahra private space at $10 a day is cheaper than the $15-a-day Woollahra option and the $17.64-a-day lock-up garage. A monthly space costs $250 a month and suits repeated visits.
Woollahra Parking Fines and Council Enforcement
Woollahra Council's Rangers enforce both statutory and sign-posted parking restrictions, including limits applying to free bays (woollahra.nsw.gov.au). Woollahra Council parking fines are administered by Revenue NSW, so an overstay or other parking breach becomes a Revenue NSW matter rather than a fee charged by the free car park itself.
Revenue NSW provides the payment and review process for Woollahra Council parking infringement notices. NSW guidance states that drivers have 28 days from the issue date to pay or lodge an internal review (19pine.ai). The notice identifies the breach, amount and available response method, allowing a driver to deal with the specific infringement rather than treating a free period as permission to remain beyond its limit.
