Vehicle Size Restrictions and Weight Limits in Woollahra

Trucks and vans over 4.5 tonnes cannot park on many local streets, including Edgecliff Road and Queen Street, due to width constraints and traffic impact concerns. Vehicles exceeding 7.5 metres in length face even tighter restrictions, with limited designated parking available. Non-compliance can result in fines reaching $275, so understanding these rules before your move is crucial.
The key is checking local signage carefully before parking any large vehicle. Woollahra Municipal Council provides detailed information about heavy vehicle restrictions across different zones. Areas near landmarks like the Wolper Jewish Hospital require extra attention, as drop-off zones and patient access corridors take priority. Planning your moving truck arrival during off-peak hours helps minimize disruption and parking headaches.
