Understanding Peak-Hour Pricing in Short North
During peak hours, parking costs surge dramatically: daily rates near popular venues like the Graduate Hotel can exceed $45. This happens because demand outpaces supply on weekends and evenings when the Arts District draws crowds. High Street and surrounding blocks become particularly competitive, with drivers sometimes circling for 20+ minutes just to find an available space.

Private parking platforms like peer-to-peer services offer refreshing alternatives to garage surge pricing.
