Understanding the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme
In Bathurst, individuals with mobility impairments can access disability parking permits through the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme. Applying for Your Bathurst Mobility Permit
Securing a mobility parking permit in Bathurst requires several straightforward steps. First, obtain a medical report from your doctor or specialist. This report should confirm your eligibility under the scheme's criteria. It must be documented on the official Mobility Parking Scheme Application form and submitted to Service NSW. If you hold a NSW driver or rider license, your doctor may also assess your fitness to drive. This is particularly important for initial applications or new conditions.
Once your medical report is prepared, you'll need to determine if a photo is required for your permit card. Most permits include photos, but exemptions may apply if a disability prevents visiting a service centre. To clarify your specific requirements, contact Service NSW directly.
