Understanding the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme in Wilton
In Wilton, New South Wales, if you have a temporary or permanent condition affecting your mobility, the NSW Mobility Parking Scheme is designed to assist you. The permits issued under this scheme allow for special parking concessions and access to designated disability parking spaces throughout the suburb. There are two main types of permits available: the individual permit, which is valid for five years, and the temporary permit, valid for up to six months. Eligibility depends on your medical circumstances. Individuals can apply for these permits through Service NSW, either online or at a local service centre located conveniently across the region.
The application process begins with a medical assessment by your GP or a medical specialist who must complete the medical certificate section of the MPS application form. If this is your first application or if you've had a change in your condition, you may require a fitness assessment as well. Once you have your medical report completed, you can submit your application either online through the Service NSW portal or in-person at your nearest centre.
