Getting Your Accessible Parking Permit in Ceres
Applying for an Accessible Parking Permit in Ceres requires you to meet specific eligibility criteria set by the local council. A functional assessment from a qualified health professional is necessary. This can be your GP or an occupational therapist. The assessment will determine whether you qualify and how long your permit should last. Typically, permits last three to five years, depending on your circumstances.
The application process is straightforward. First, check your eligibility through the council. Then, complete the application form and provide your mobile phone number. This allows the council to send you a reference number for your functional assessment. Once your assessment is complete, you can choose to have the outcome mailed to your home. Alternatively, you can pick it up directly from the Ceres City Council offices. If you need to replace lost or damaged permits, the process is equally simple. Just bring proof of identity along with the required documentation.
For individuals with cognitive or neurological disabilities, consulting a GP is mandatory. Occupational therapists cannot assess these conditions. The APP permit details page provides comprehensive guidance on eligibility requirements and assessment timelines. Understanding these steps will help ensure you receive your disability parking permit without unnecessary delays or confusion.
