These spaces are particularly important near essential landmarks such as the Blainville Sports Complex and the local shopping centers on Boulevard de la Renaissance. The designated spaces are strategically located to provide the utmost convenience for those who need them.
To park in these accessible spots, individuals must obtain a disability parking permit. This permit is available through the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ). It is designed to facilitate better access for individuals with mobility challenges. The permit allows them to park in designated areas without incurring fees. The application process is straightforward, and the permits are issued at no cost to eligible residents. Getting Your Disability Parking Permit From SAAQ
In Blainville, Quebec, applying for a disability parking permit starts with the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ). This organization serves as your primary authority for accessing designated parking spaces across the province. The process requires medical certification from your doctor or specialist. This certification must confirm your mobility challenges. Your healthcare provider's assessment forms the foundation of your entire application, so choose someone who is familiar with your condition.
Once you have your medical documentation completed, submit your application directly to the SAAQ. The entire process typically takes two to three weeks for approval. Permits are issued to individuals rather than vehicles, which gives you the flexibility to use different cars depending on your needs. Most permits remain valid for three years before renewal is required. You can learn more about the complete application process by visiting the SAAQ accessible parking permit page. Your approved permit grants recognition across all Canadian provinces under the Mutual Recognition of Parking Badges Agreement.

Never lend your permit to others or allow unauthorized use, as this constitutes fraud under municipal bylaws.
