Obtaining Your Disability Parking Permit in Lévis
In Lévis, Quebec, individuals with disabilities can access accessible parking permits issued by the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ). The application process is straightforward but requires specific documentation. You'll need a medical certificate from your general practitioner confirming your mobility impairment, along with a completed SAAQ form detailing your condition. Temporary permits are typically granted for up to six months, while permanent permits can be renewed every three years, giving you flexibility based on your unique needs.
Once you've gathered your medical certification, submit your forms to the SAAQ for review. The beauty of this system is that disability parking permits are issued to the individual, not the vehicle, meaning you can use any car you're driving. This flexibility is particularly valuable for families and caregivers who share driving responsibilities. Permits issued in Lévis are recognized nationally and internationally, which is especially beneficial if you're travelling across Canada or visiting from abroad. For comprehensive guidance on the application process, visit the SAAQ accessible parking permit page for official details and forms.
