Understanding Blue Badge Eligibility in Tower Hamlets
In Tower Hamlets, the Blue Badge permit is your golden ticket to accessible parking across the borough. Tower Hamlets Council administers these permits to support residents with genuine mobility challenges. You'll need proof of residency, vehicle ownership, and medical certification confirming your disability status. The council aims to process applications within three working days, though you can continue parking while awaiting confirmation.
The application process demands specific documentation. GPs may need to assess your mobility needs before approval. For those in car-free properties, only Blue Badge holders or their nominated drivers living at the same address qualify.
