Understanding Permit Types and Eligibility
Bellevue residents can access temporary or permanent mobility parking permits tailored to individual circumstances. CCS Disability Action, the primary issuing authority for the Bay of Plenty region, evaluates applications based on medical need and functional limitation. Temporary permits suit those recovering from surgery or injury, while long-term permits serve permanent disabilities. Your eligibility depends on documented evidence of mobility restriction that significantly impacts your independence.
The Tauranga City Council mobility parking page outlines specific eligibility criteria and renewal procedures. Some applicants qualify for concessionary rates, making permits more accessible. Understanding which permit type fits your situation ensures you get appropriate duration and avoid unnecessary reapplication costs later.
