Strathfield Parking Fines, Payment and Challenges After an Overstay
Strathfield Council Rangers and Authorised Officers issue infringement notices when a vehicle exceeds the hours on a parking sign or parks in a bus stop, no-stopping area, disabled driver zone, or too close to a corner or pedestrian crossing. Council also patrols its car parks and issues notices when vehicles breach displayed car-park signs (Strathfield Council).
Strathfield Council gives offenders 21 days to pay a parking infringement. The fine is not paid to Council: payment can be made by phone, online, in person at Australia Post or by post to PO Box 4444, Parramatta NSW 2124.
A driver who disputes a Strathfield infringement notice may elect to contest the matter when it is listed for hearing in the Local Court. The council’s enforcement process applies to overstays as well as other breaches of signed restrictions and Australian Road Rules (Strathfield Council).
