Bur Oak Avenue limits and Cornell winter permit restrictions
Bur Oak Avenue’s commercial sections have council-reported time restrictions rather than unrestricted parking. The original Markham report recommended a one-hour limit along the commercial sections, while a later Bur Oak Avenue parking update recommended a two-hour limit at the affected location. The street therefore cannot be treated as a single unrestricted free-parking area, and a driver’s permitted stay depends on the signed section used.
Cornell’s winter snow-clearing arrangements create a separate overnight restriction. The winter rule concerns permit holders, so a general visitor cannot treat those signed spaces as free overnight parking. A vehicle left in a restricted space can therefore be affected by both the ordinary street limit and a seasonal permit requirement.
