A priced Parksy space near Kinton Ramen in Ottawa, K2P 1L7, is 250 metres away and costs $12.99 an hour. The hourly rate is suited to short visits when a driver wants a close, bookable space rather than searching for a time-limited street bay.

Ottawa Time Limits, Permits, Paid Periods, and Overnight Restrictions
Ottawa residential streets covered by the six-hour policy allow parking for up to six hours on weekends and holidays, so a car left during the daytime must be moved before that limit expires (cbc.ca).
Some Ottawa residential neighbourhoods require permits or impose two- to three-hour limits, making a space unavailable to a general driver even when it appears empty (ontowing.com). Paid on-street parking in Ottawa can extend into weekday evenings and Saturday evenings, with enforcement reported to continue until 7:30 PM on those periods (ctvnews.ca).
OC Transpo Park & Ride locations can also distinguish general free use from permit-controlled periods: one listed site has 84 free spaces after 11 AM, while permits are required before 11 AM (octranspo.com). A disabled badge does not turn a permit-only or restricted space into general free parking.
Ottawa Parking Tickets, Late Fees, and Disputing a Penalty
Ottawa parking-violation fines range from $60 to $130, with early-payment options available at a reduced penalty (ctvnews.ca). The exact amount depends on the violation recorded on the ticket, so an overstay can cost more than the parking charge avoided.
Ottawa’s ticket process adds a $25 late fee after the initial payment period and issues a second reminder notice; unpaid tickets are considered in default after 76 days (cbc.ca). A separate Ottawa payment portal states that the set fine and Notice of Overdue Parking Penalty apply on day 16, followed by a Notice of Impending Default on day 46 (gtechna.com).
Drivers can pay or dispute an Ottawa parking ticket online through the city’s parking-ticket portal. A dispute must address the ticket issued to the vehicle, while prompt payment preserves the reduced early-payment option reported for Ottawa violations (gtechna.com; ctvnews.ca).
