Free parking at Kensington Heritage Library and the Confederation Trail
Kensington Heritage Library provides free parking for visitors using the library in Kensington, Prince Edward Island. The library is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible washroom, so its parking is useful for a short visit connected with the facility rather than as a general town-centre parking substitute (princeedwardisland.ca).
The Confederation Trail parking lot at Waypoints Parking WP 15 is another named place to leave a vehicle in Kensington. The site identifies WP 15 as the Kensington Confederation Trail parking lot, making it a practical starting point for trail users and cyclists (theislandwalk.ca). Drivers using either site should keep the purpose of the parking in mind: the library space serves library visitors, while the trail lot serves access to the Confederation Trail.
Who can use Kensington's free parking spaces
The Kensington Heritage Library parking is described as free for people visiting the library, rather than as an unrestricted municipal car park for every town errand (princeedwardisland.ca). That distinction matters when a driver wants to leave a vehicle while visiting another destination in Kensington.
The Confederation Trail parking lot at WP 15 is identified specifically as trail parking in Kensington (theislandwalk.ca). Its stated use is tied to the Confederation Trail, so it suits a trail departure or return more clearly than general shopping or all-day town parking. The named sites therefore provide the clearest supported free options for library visitors and trail users, with each space matched to its stated facility or activity.
A priced Kensington option for visitors needing a guaranteed space
Green P lists Kensington Garage at 20 St. Andrew Street as a paid parking facility in Kensington. This option suits a driver who needs a named facility in town rather than relying on the free parking associated with the library or Confederation Trail.
The daytime cap makes the garage the clearest priced fallback for a longer visit when a free, purpose-specific space is unsuitable. No Parksy space is listed here with a price, street, area or distance, so the Kensington Garage is the only priced parking alternative supported for this page.
