Barnes parking penalties, maximum stays and challenges
Residents with a RichmondCard or who have registered with RingGo can park free for stays of up to 30 minutes at Rocks Lane.
West Barnes WB1 and WB2 are permit-holder-only zones during their stated operating periods, making an unauthorised stay a contravention rather than free parking (merton.gov.uk). Richmond’s Barnes zone information also identifies permit, pay-and-display, RingGo and free time-limited bay types separately, so the permitted use depends on the marked bay and its zone. A driver who receives a council penalty can use the payment or challenge route set out on the penalty notice, which identifies the contravention, payment deadline and representations process for that vehicle.
