Blandford time limits, charging signs and Blue Badge parking
Blandford Forum Town Council states that time limits still apply at Marsh & Ham, Station Court, Church Lane, Eagle House Gardens and Langton Road on the designated free-parking dates (blandfordforum-tc.gov.uk). A free period therefore does not authorise parking beyond the limit applying to the bay or car park.
Blandford’s on-street pay-and-display spaces are identified by signs, payment machines and road markings, and Dorset Council says Blue Badge holders can usually park free for as long as required when the badge is valid and clearly displayed. Dorset Council also permits payment for Blandford on-street parking by cash or mobile payment.
Blandford parking fines, discounts and challenges
Dorset Council’s Marsh and Ham car park page states that a parking fine must be paid within 28 days from the day it is issued. The page also states that payment within 14 days qualifies for a 50% discount (dorsetcouncil.gov.uk). This applies to the enforcement information published for Marsh and Ham, rather than creating a general rate for every parking location in Blandford.
Dorset Council says a driver who believes a parking fine was issued incorrectly has the right to challenge it. Drivers using an electric-vehicle bay at Marsh and Ham do not have to pay while the vehicle is charging, but the vehicle must be moved to a normal bay once charging is complete; non-electric vehicles in an EV charging bay receive parking fines (dorsetcouncil.gov.uk).
