The Football Match Residents Parking Zone covers streets around Everton and Liverpool football clubs, with particular problems reported on streets directly off Robson Street and Breckfield Road North. Event-Day Pressure and Cheaper Parking Beyond Everton
Parking demand is highest around Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium when football matches or other stadium events are taking place. Liverpool City Council publishes an Everton Stadium revised parking-controls map showing when controls apply and where permits are required, so event-day visitors should expect the free bays in the Football Match Residents Parking Zone to fill quickly (liverpool.gov.uk). The council also warns that people in yellow jackets may illegally direct drivers into residential streets and request £5.

Everton Permits, Controls and Badge Concessions

Residents can have one free permit for each vehicle registered to their property and one free visitor permit, while visitors without the relevant permit must use a permit-free street or a limited-waiting bay where available (liverpool.gov.uk). Blue Badge holders may park in the Everton West zone without a permit when the badge is displayed correctly. On single or double yellow lines, the badge must be displayed with the time clock; loading and business bays remain excluded.
PCN Costs and Enforcement in Everton’s Permit Zones
Parking in an Everton Football Match Residents Parking Zone without the required permit can result in a Penalty Charge Notice. Liverpool City Council says the zone is enforced during the restrictions shown on its entry signs, which are 10am to midnight from 1 August to 30 June inclusive. The council also warns that unofficial attendants may claim to sell spaces on residential streets for £5, while council staff do not operate pay-to-park facilities in the football-match zone (liverpool.gov.uk).
Drivers disputing a notice should use the council’s formal PCN challenge process, while drivers accepting the notice can use the council’s payment process within the stated deadline.
