Free Parking at Horley’s Council Car Parks and Station Approach

Horley’s council car parks provide the clearest general free-parking options for short visits. The High Street, Central and Victoria Road car parks each allow parking free for up to one hour when a valid ticket from the machine is displayed (reigate-banstead.gov.uk).

Sunday and Bank Holiday parking is free at the High Street, Central and Victoria Road car parks. The council’s charging hours are 8am to 6pm, so evenings outside those hours are also free at these council sites (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). These choices suit shoppers, appointments and short town-centre visits rather than airport stays.

Horley Time Limits, Permits and Free-Parking Concessions

The one-hour free stay at the High Street, Central and Victoria Road car parks depends on displaying a valid machine ticket (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). The same council car parks charge during their 8am to 6pm charging period, while Sundays and Bank Holidays are free. A driver staying beyond the free period must use the relevant paid tariff rather than treating the car park as unrestricted.

Blue Badge holders may park free in any marked disabled or pay-and-display bay in the council car parks when the badge is correctly displayed (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). Motorcycles may park free in marked motorcycle or pay-and-display bays. Horley Station has a separate APCOA rule: Blue Badge parking is free, but the vehicle must be registered through the APCOA Blue Badge Portal or APCOA Connect, or by calling 01895 262122, and the badge must remain displayed (apcoa.co.uk). Station parking also has daily rates for other drivers, so the concession is limited to eligible badge holders.

Parksy Parking Near Horley Station and the Town Centre

This option suits drivers seeking a low daily price close to the Horley and Gatwick area rather than relying on a short council stay.

Parksy also lists a Stashbee parking space in Horley, Surrey, at 0 yd for £89 a month, which is aimed at longer-term parking. For hourly parking, a secure driveway on Massetts Road is 142 yd away at £8 an hour, while a secure space at The Avenue is 277 yd away at £6.25 an hour. These paid spaces give drivers alternatives when free town-centre capacity is unavailable.

Cheapest Named Alternatives When Horley’s Free Bays Fill

Horley’s free council parking is most useful outside the busiest town-centre periods, but capacity can tighten when shoppers, commuters and airport travellers arrive together. The High Street car park is affected by regeneration works, with a works compound reducing available capacity during the project, and the site is closed to the public for one week from 9 February 2026 (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). Drivers needing the High Street should therefore consider the other named council sites.

Central Car Park and Victoria Road are the council’s named alternatives for current permit holders during the High Street works (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). For other drivers, both sites offer the same practical Sunday and Bank Holiday free option as the High Street. The council also lists season tickets for regular users of its car parks.

Penalty Risks After Overstaying in Horley Car Parks

Horley’s council car parks use charging hours of 8am to 6pm, and the free one-hour option requires a valid ticket from the machine (reigate-banstead.gov.uk). A driver who remains beyond the authorised stay or fails to follow the ticket requirement risks enforcement rather than an extended free visit. The High Street, Central and Victoria Road car parks each have marked disabled bays, and the council’s Blue Badge concession applies only when the badge is correctly displayed.

The council page directs drivers to RingGo for payment in its car parks, including the RingGo phone number 01737 880 022 (reigate-banstead.gov.uk).
