Swindon PCN Amounts, Enforcement and Challenges
Swindon Borough Council enforces borough parking restrictions under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (swindon.gov.uk). A Civil Enforcement Officer who has reasonable cause to believe that a vehicle has committed a contravention can issue a Penalty Charge Notice by fixing it to the vehicle or handing it to the person apparently in charge. The notice contains the contravention, vehicle registration and payment or challenge instructions.
The council’s payment page states that paying a Swindon PCN within 14 days means paying the lower amount shown on the ticket (swindon.gov.uk). The council accepts payment online using the PCN number, which begins with SI, and the vehicle registration number, or by telephone on 01793 464600, available 24 hours. A driver wishing to challenge the PCN should submit the challenge within the 14-day discount period.
