Wirral PCN amounts and ways to deal with a parking penalty
Wirral Council states that motorists risk a penalty charge notice for parking on yellow lines, parking in a restricted zone without a permit, parking on a pavement or verge where a restriction applies, or failing to buy a parking ticket (wirral.gov.uk). The council's enforcement policy says observation periods vary by contravention, from no observation period for some offences to an observation period before enforcement for others (Wirral Council parking enforcement policy).
Wirral Council's published parking-fine page provides a credit or debit card payment telephone number, 0333 005 0040. The page also accepts payment by cheque or postal order made payable to Wirral Council (wirral.gov.uk). Drivers who wish to challenge a PCN use the council's parking-fine process, while the applicable restriction depends on the location's signs, road markings, notices and permit requirements.
