Free parking in Wexford Town depends on eligibility or timing. At the Temperance Row public car park, guests and customers who spend €10 or more can park free under the facility’s arrangement (Wexfordhub.com). Public car parks also have free parking on selected Christmas 2025 dates (wexfordcoco.ie). Drivers with a Wexford County Council Carers Parking Permit may park in a pay parking place for no more than three hours.
Free Parking Options Listed for Wexford Town Visitors
Wexford Town has a public car park on Temperance Row where the published rate is €1.50 for one hour, so it is not a general free-parking option. Guests and customers who spend €10 or more can park free under the arrangement described for that facility, while other users pay the stated daily or hourly charges (Wexfordhub.com).
The Christmas free-parking notice covers public car parks in Wexford on selected dates during Christmas 2025 (wexfordcoco.ie). The notice applies to the named seasonal dates and does not create a permanent free-parking period for Wexford Town. Drivers looking for a free stay therefore need to match their visit with an eligible customer concession or an advertised seasonal date.
Wexford Town Parking Restrictions That Affect Free Stays
Wexford County Council’s public parking network in Wexford Town uses eParking, which allows drivers to pay through the council’s parking service (wexfordcoco.ie). Payzone parking is also available in council-operated parking spaces across Wexford Town (payzone.ie). These payment systems apply to paid parking locations and do not turn a paid bay into a free space.
A carer with a Wexford County Council Carers Parking Permit may park in a pay parking place for no more than three hours at a time under the stated permit rule (wexfordcoco.ie).
What to Use When Wexford Town’s Free Options Are Busy
Wexford Town’s Christmas free parking promotion applies to public car parks on selected Christmas 2025 dates (wexfordcoco.ie). Those dates are likely to attract additional demand around town-centre shopping, so the customer concession at the Temperance Row facility provides a separate route to a free stay for guests and customers spending €10 or more (Wexfordhub.com).
The INTO car-park information lists an open-24-hours facility where parking is free when a train ticket is produced, while a separate listed charge is €3 per visit (into.ie). Drivers using council-operated spaces can pay through eParking or Payzone rather than relying on a free period that does not apply to their bay (wexfordcoco.ie; payzone.ie).
Parksy Spaces Around Wexford Town for a Paid Alternative
The listed price starts at €1.90, making this a paid option for drivers who need a named facility rather than a customer-only or train-ticket concession.
Its 40-space capacity suits a driver who needs a weekday parking facility and can pay the listed starting rate. These options cover different needs: APCOA provides weekday paid parking, while Temperance Row suits a qualifying customer or a driver paying for a short or daily stay.
Wexford Town Parking Fines and How the Charge Escalates
Wexford County Council states that a €40 parking fine becomes €60 after 28 days if the original fine is not paid in full (wexfordcoco.ie). The council provides an online parking-fine payment service requiring the ticket number and vehicle registration number (globetechparking.com).
Wexford County Council accepts appeals received within 56 days of the fixed-charge notice date when the appeal includes supporting documentation (wexfordcoco.ie). A driver who disputes a notice therefore needs to submit the appeal within that 56-day window and include the required evidence. Payment and appeal are separate routes: the online payment service handles the charge, while the council’s appeal process handles a challenge to the notice.
