Time Limits and Monitored Periods for Rotorua Free Bays
Rotorua’s central P60 spaces are free for one hour, and the P60 designation identifies the applicable 60-minute limit for those central spaces (myguiderotorua.com). A driver using a P60 bay needs to treat the posted limit as belonging to that bay category rather than applying it to every free space in Rotorua.
Rotorua CBD on-street parking is monitored from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 9am to 12 noon on Saturdays. Rotorua Lakes Council separately lists time-limited and all-day free parking around the outer edges of the city, so the restriction for an outer-edge space belongs to its own signed location (rotorualakescouncil.nz).
Rotorua Airport’s first 60 minutes free applies to the airport car park, where the published tariff then charges $2 per 30 minutes (rotorua-airport.co.nz).
