Free and short-stay parking at QUT Kelvin Grove
QUT Kelvin Grove provides two hours of free parking through its pay-on-exit ticketing system, with entry from Ramsgate Street (studentvip.com.au). QUT Kelvin Grove also has casual parking at Sports Lane, plus smaller pay-and-display areas at K Block, Rainforest, H Block and Z9 Block. These are paid facilities rather than general free parking, and QUT requires a valid ticket displayed through the windscreen in those areas (qut.edu.au). QUT’s Q Block is permit-only from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday, so it is not a general free-parking option for visitors.

QUT lists casual parking at Kelvin Grove by duration, with weekday stays of up to one hour costing $10 and one to two hours costing $12 (qut.edu.au). The QUT rates provide a named fallback when the free two-hour spaces are occupied or a visit will run longer.

Kelvin Grove permit, ticket and time-limit rules

QUT Kelvin Grove’s Q Block is parking by permit only from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday, with casual parking available on weekday evenings and weekends (qut.edu.au). A general visitor should therefore distinguish the two-hour QUT visitor arrangement from permit-controlled or ticketed spaces.
