A priced Parksy space on Tūwharetoa Street
The space is a paid car-park option rather than free parking.
The 29 Tūwharetoa Street site also publishes a $5 12-hour rate for its casual parking and a $6 Saturday and Sunday 12-hour rate. Wilson Parking lists an early-bird rate from $4 for Monday to Friday purchases between 6am and 10am, valid for 12 hours from purchase, and a night rate from $2 for Monday to Friday availability from 4pm until 8am (wilsonparking.co.nz). These rates give drivers several paid durations at the named Tūwharetoa Street site when a free bay is unavailable.

Taupo parking infringements and payment details
Taupo District Council says all parking fines are set by the Government rather than by the council (taupodc.govt.nz). The council publishes parking fees and provides its contact number, 07 376 0899, for urgent parking-fine queries. An infringement notice is the document used for the individual parking offence, and the council provides an online payment route for parking infringements.
The payment service distinguishes parking infringements from other council payments, which use the Particulars and other payment details. A driver who disputes a notice must use the council’s parking-fine query channel rather than treating a free bay as exempt from enforcement.
