Free Meter Parking in Downtown Little Rock on Weekends and Holidays

Little Rock’s standard meters generally allow two hours, and meters around the Little Rock Convention Center allow four hours (littlerock.gov). The River Market District uses eight pay-and-display stations instead of single-space meters, so a driver using a River Market space must collect a receipt and display it on the curb-side dashboard. Free parking applies to the city’s metered spaces during the city’s stated free periods, not to loading zones, no-parking zones, or spaces reserved for a particular user.
Little Rock River Market and Downtown Parking When Free Spaces Fill
Free downtown spaces are most difficult to find during busy River Market activity and events at the Little Rock Convention Center, where the city patrols approximately one square mile containing 1,400 metered spaces and 520 regulated spaces (littlerock.gov).
The River Market Parking Deck is a named city-owned and operated alternative in the River Market District, charging $2 an hour per vehicle and $20 per consecutive day (littlerock.com). The deck suits drivers who need a paid space near the River Market after weekend spaces or weekday free periods have been used, while its daily rate is useful for a longer visit. Little Rock’s downtown parking enforcement also covers the area around Children’s Hospital, so a driver looking beyond the River Market should distinguish regulated spaces from unrestricted curb parking.
A Priced Parksy Space 0.8 Miles From Little Rock Parking Demand
Parksy lists a secure parking space in Little Rock, Arkansas, priced at $2 an hour and located 0.8 miles away. The space suits a driver who needs a reserved paid option after downtown’s free weekend spaces or weekday free periods are occupied, particularly when avoiding repeated circulation through the River Market and downtown blocks.
Its hourly price is stated separately from Little Rock’s public meters and the River Market Parking Deck, so it gives short-stay drivers a direct paid alternative without treating a private space as free municipal parking. Drivers heading to downtown destinations can use the location distance to weigh a short walk against continuing to search for an available city space.
Little Rock Meter Limits, River Market Receipts, and Disability Spaces
A meter stops adding time after its allowed limit even when more coins are deposited.
The city lists designated on-street disability spaces on the 400 block of State Street, 100 block of Spring Street, 600 block of Main Street, 100 block of West Markham, 100 block of Ottenheimer Plaza, and 600 block of President Clinton Avenue. These spaces are disability accommodations, not general free parking for drivers without the required credentials.
Little Rock Parking Citations, Boot Fees, and Payment Options
Little Rock Parking Enforcement issues citations for meter and non-meter violations across downtown, the River Market, and the area around Children’s Hospital (littlerock.gov). A vehicle that receives a boot incurs an additional $100 immobilization fee. Little Rock also adds a small credit or bank card transaction fee when a citation is paid in person, online, or by phone.
Little Rock states that unpaid citations can lead to vehicle immobilization or booting, and that unpaid fines are turned over to a collection agency after 90 days when the person fails to pay or appear in court to contest the citation (littlerock.gov). The city’s parking enforcement page identifies payment in person, online, and over the phone as payment routes, with the applicable transaction fee for card payments. A driver who wants to contest a citation must appear in court rather than simply leaving the citation unpaid.
