Santa Clarita parking regulations apply on City streets and in parking lots, and Parking Enforcement Officers patrol both locations while responding primarily to resident reports (santaclarita.gov). Santa Clarita municipal rules include a 72-hour limit for vehicles parked on a highway, so a free public space is not an unrestricted long-term storage option (ecode360.com).
Santa Clarita also restricts commercial vehicle parking between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and the City code sets a three-minute stopping limit for a passenger vehicle and a twenty-minute limit for a commercial vehicle in the relevant stopping situation (ecode360.com). Santa Clarita offers up to three oversized-vehicle parking permits within any 90-calendar-day period, making the permit requirement relevant to oversized vehicles rather than ordinary cars (user.govoutreach.com).
Santa Clarita parking citations, payment, and appeals
Santa Clarita Parking Enforcement patrols City streets and parking lots and enforces State and City vehicle regulations (santaclarita.gov). Santa Clarita citation questions go to the citation processor by phone at 800-989-2058, and Santa Clarita citations can be paid online or by mail to the City of Santa Clarita Citation Processing Center, P.O. Box 10479, Newport Beach, California 92658-0479.
The penalty clock stops during review, but a citation that becomes delinquent adds a $15 delinquent fee, places the fine and fee on vehicle registration records, and can prevent registration until payment is complete (santaclarita.gov). Santa Clarita’s published process sends the appeal decision by mail and allows an administrative hearing request after a liable finding.
