During snow or ice accumulation declared by the mayor, Bridgeport’s alternate-side ordinance allows parking on the even-numbered side from 7:00am on an even-numbered date to 7:00am the next day, and on the odd-numbered side during the corresponding odd-date period (bridgeportct.gov). Vehicles violating a designated alternate-side restriction may receive a ticket or be towed. Free annual park stickers are for vehicles registered in Bridgeport, while Connecticut nonresident annual stickers cost $230. Resident stickers are valid for Seaside Park, Beardsley Park, and St. Mary’s by the Sea, so those sticker rules are not general free parking for every driver.
Bridgeport Parking Tickets, Payment Deadlines, and Towing Exposure
The City of Bridgeport warns that failing to pay for parking risks a ticket, and the city’s downtown meter enforcement period runs Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 8:00pm (bridgeportct.gov).
Bridgeport requires all parking-ticket payments or appeals within fourteen calendar days of the issue date (bridgeportct.gov). Vehicles subject to alternate-side snow restrictions may be ticketed or removed by towing at the police department’s discretion, and the vehicle remains impounded until towing, storage charges, and the fine are paid. For vehicles that are booted, towed, or require a DMV release, the City of Bridgeport accepts cash only. Regular ticket payments and appeals use the city’s designated parking payment process within the fourteen-day deadline.
