Parking Near Orlando
Free on-street parking in downtown Orlando after 8 p.m.
Orlando’s paid on-street spaces are free from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and free all day on Sundays and city-observed holidays. The city applies this schedule to paid areas including the downtown core between Colonial Drive and Anderson Street, Garland Avenue and Rosalind Avenue, South Eola east of Rosalind Avenue and south of Colonial Drive, SoDo Main Street District, Orlando Health Campus, and Creative Village (orlando.gov).
Orlando also has free parking and non-limited on-street areas outside the paid spaces, but the city does not name individual unrestricted streets on its parking pages.
Orlando signs control free hours, limits and permit areas
Orlando requires payment in paid on-street areas Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while posted signs can vary by location (orlando.gov). A free evening or Sunday period does not remove a separate maximum stay shown on the parking sign. After reaching the maximum time posted on the sign or shown in ParkMobile, the vehicle must move to another block to avoid an overtime citation.
Orlando’s city-managed ParkMobile zones include 77001 and every zone beginning with 71; other zones are outside the city’s jurisdiction and enforcement (orlando.gov). Drivers using a free period still need to follow restrictions shown at the space, and entering a Florida plate requires the number 0 rather than the letter O.
Downtown Orlando events make free spaces disappear first
Orlando can impose event parking rates at selected downtown garages and lots when a large event takes place downtown or at a downtown venue. Event rates at garages and lots can range from $10 to $20, while ThreatLocker Garage and Grove Park Lot can range from $20 to $30 (orlando.gov). Free evening street parking is therefore most difficult to find near event venues during event periods.
Garland Lot charges $15 after 5 p.m., on weekends, and during events; Grove Park Lot charges a flat $10 until 4 p.m.; Livingston Lot charges $2 an hour for the first four hours, then $3 an hour, with a $20 daily maximum and a $25 overnight rate (orlando.gov).

Parksy lists a secure covered space at City Commons Garage, 292 yards away, for $19 a day. Parksy also lists a secure commercial garage 209 yards away for $259 a month, which is aimed at longer-term downtown parking rather than a single visit.
Parksy lists covered parking at Citrus Center, 0.2 miles away, for $25 a day, plus two spaces at 99 N. Garland Avenue, each 0.2 miles away, for $25 a day. A parking lot in Orlando is listed 0.3 miles away for $25 a day.
Orlando parking citations, payment and appeals
Orlando requires a parking citation to be paid within 21 days to avoid a late fee. Online payment adds a $3.50 convenience fee, and the city accepts payment online, in person at the Parking Division at 53 W. Central Boulevard, or by mail (orlando.gov). The city’s parking violations department can be contacted at that office for payment processing.
Orlando allows a parking-ticket appeal within 21 days of the citation, and photos of most violations can be reviewed online before appealing (orlando.gov). The city identifies possible meter or pay-by-phone malfunctions, and failure to display a paid parking permit when a copy can be provided, as examples for administrative review. A driver can call the violations department to request that review before pursuing a court hearing.
