Parking Near West Side
Free parking at West Side Arena during Manchester snow emergencies
West Side drivers have one specifically named free option when Manchester declares a snow emergency: the lot behind West Side Arena. The City of Manchester lists West Side Arena among the locations offering free parking during a snow emergency, alongside Arms Park, Gill Stadium’s Beech Street side lot, Hartnett Lot, Livingston Park’s lot at the end of Beech Street, Precourt Park, Barbara Shaw Park, the public lot north of Tru Hotel, and Victory Parking Garage (manchesternh.gov).
West Side Arena’s free parking applies during the start and end times posted for the particular snow emergency, not as a permanent daily offer. Exact times vary by location and date, and Manchester requires drivers to observe the posted times. The city’s snow-emergency announcement provides the applicable details for each declaration (manchesternh.gov).
West Side winter street parking follows Manchester’s odd-even rule
On an odd-numbered calendar month, vehicles may park on the odd-numbered side of the street overnight; on an even-numbered calendar month, vehicles may park on the even-numbered side. December therefore uses the even side, while January uses the odd side (manchesternh.gov).
A West Side street with daytime parking allowed on only one side keeps that side available overnight under the winter rule. Manchester prohibits overnight parking on the circular portion of dead-end cul-de-sacs, and the odd-even allowance ends when a snow emergency is declared.
