Columbus Curb Limits, Permits, and Enforcement Hours
Columbus assigns parking durations by location, with public spaces ranging from 30 minutes to no time limit according to parking demand (columbus.gov). A Columbus space with a posted duration remains subject to that duration even when a driver does not have to pay during a free period. Columbus signs and blue ParkColumbus signs identify the payment zone at the place where the vehicle is parked.
Columbus also requires a vehicle on a city street to move 75 feet after 72 hours of continuous parking, or the vehicle may be towed (WOSU). Columbus's parking map distinguishes ADA parking and permit parking from general public spaces, so a permit-only or accessible space is not a general free option.
