Free downtown parking windows and City Hall spaces in Clarksville
Downtown Clarksville has free parking after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday, and on official city holidays, according to Visit Clarksville (visitclarksvilletn.com). The downtown guide also describes two-hour parking as free, giving visitors a daytime option when a marked two-hour space is available.
The City Hall upper lot is intended for customer parking when no other sign restricts the space (clarksvilletn.gov). The free downtown periods apply to eligible public parking, not spaces marked for another purpose, so a driver should use the sign attached to the specific space as the controlling instruction.
Clarksville parking choices when downtown free spaces fill
Weekday daytime parking in downtown Clarksville is the period when the city’s paid-parking schedule applies. The historic courthouse surface lot at 2nd and Commerce Street uses kiosk pay stations and accepts coins, cash, cards, or ParkMobile at $1.50 an hour (clarksvilletn.gov). The city’s kiosk instructions require the vehicle license plate number before payment, so a driver can complete the transaction without searching for a paper ticket.
Millan Public Parking Garage at 90 College Street provides 513 spaces across multiple levels and charges $1.50 an hour (millanenterprises.com). The garage is a named alternative when a free street or surface space is unavailable, while the courthouse lot offers a surface option in the same downtown parking system. Clarksville’s parking information also says monthly parking permits are issued through the ParkMobile app, which gives regular downtown users a permit-based payment option rather than relying on a free-period arrival.
Parksy-priced storage spaces off Waurika Freeway in Clarksville
Parksy lists Secure RV & Boat Storage in Clarksville, TN, 2.1 miles away, at $65 a month. The listing identifies the space as storage for an RV or boat, so the option suits a driver seeking a dedicated place for one of those larger vehicles rather than a short downtown visit.
The outdoor format gives drivers a priced alternative to downtown parking when public free spaces are full, especially for a vehicle that can remain outside. Both listed options are monthly spaces, and both are farther from central Clarksville than the downtown street and garage choices.
Clarksville time windows, permits, and restricted spaces
Visit Clarksville identifies two-hour parking as free, while the city’s broader downtown schedule makes evenings after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday free (visitclarksvilletn.com). A driver using a two-hour space therefore has a time-limited option during the daytime rather than an unrestricted all-day space.
Parking in a restricted space remains a violation under the notice, so a free period does not authorize use of a space marked for a restricted purpose.
Clarksville citation payment and appeal process
Clarksville provides three ways to pay a parking citation: online, in person, or by mail (clarksvilletn.gov). The online payment site requires the ticket number and either the vehicle’s registration state or license plate number.
Clarksville requires parking-citation appeals to be submitted online. A person receiving notice of an alleged violation has the right to an administrative hearing before the Clarksville Parking Commission, scheduled no earlier than 10 days and no later than 45 days after the notice date (clarksvilletn.gov). Appeals are heard every third Tuesday, and the decision is sent by email.
