The Parksy option near Georgetown when downtown fills
The nearby priced Parksy option is a secure, gated parking lot in Round Rock, 6.8 miles from Georgetown, costing $250 a month. Its 24/7 access suits a driver who needs a reserved longer-term space rather than a short downtown stop.
The Round Rock lot is the only priced Parksy space listed near Georgetown, so it is most useful when a driver needs dependable parking beyond the limits of Georgetown’s free downtown spaces. A monthly arrangement can suit a commuter, contractor, or resident who regularly finds the Square’s public spaces full, while a visitor making a brief trip is better matched to Georgetown’s free lots and street bays.
Georgetown’s three-hour downtown limit and enforcement window
Georgetown applies a three-hour limit to all on-street parking on the Square, even though the spaces are free of charge (georgetowntexas.qscend.com). Downtown’s three-hour parking limitations run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and the limit is not enforced after 5 p.m (visit.georgetown.org). A driver making a daytime appointment should therefore treat a free street space as short-term parking rather than an all-day option.
Georgetown’s city parking program also describes expanded enforcement for three-hour limited parking, while city-hosted special events can bring different parking guidelines (georgetowntexas.gov).
