Cost Comparison: Permits Versus Alternative Parking Solutions
Finding an affordable and convenient parking solution in Chestnut Hill can be challenging, especially for those who work near Boston College or frequent the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center. Standard parking permits can set you back $150 for commuters and up to $165 for residential permit holders. However, alternative options like private driveway rentals through peer-to-peer platforms can offer significant savings, with prices starting as low as $12 per day depending on location and amenities. Beyond cost considerations, private parking often provides premium features unavailable with standard permits. Many private spots are located within walking distance of major landmarks such as the Florence Nature Preserve and shopping district. Monthly commitments are flexible, allowing you to adjust your parking arrangement based on seasonal needs. For students and temporary residents, this flexibility proves invaluable.
