What Are Your Rights If Wrongfully Towed in Lawson
If you believe your vehicle was wrongfully towed in Lawson, you have several rights and options for recourse. First, document all relevant details, including the exact location where your car was parked and any signage indicating parking restrictions. This information will be vital if you choose to dispute the towing. The standard towing invoice process allows for disputes to be lodged with the appropriate authorities, which can lead to a review of your case. Keep in mind that the average review time is about 12 weeks, so patience is key.
To initiate a dispute, you must send a written letter detailing your case, including your name, the invoice number, and the reason for your dispute. This letter should be mailed to the designated address for Blue Mountains City Council, typically found on the towing invoice. If you are not satisfied with the initial assessment, you can request a second review. Always remember to refer to the NRMA guide on towed vehicles for accurate information on your rights. Knowing your entitlements can help you navigate this frustrating situation with greater confidence.
