The best way to deal with towing is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Learn to identify no parking zones marked by red lines, signage, or painted curbs throughout King George, particularly along 33rd Street and near the King George Arena. Study parking signage carefully before leaving your vehicle, paying special attention to time restrictions and permit requirements. Many King George residents and commuters make the mistake of parking in clearway zones during peak hours, not realizing their vehicle can be towed within minutes. Ensure your vehicle registration is current and clearly visible on your windshield, as expired registration is a common impound trigger.
Consider booking guaranteed parking through private services to eliminate uncertainty entirely. With the average impound fee costing $150 CAD plus daily storage charges, investing in reliable parking spots makes financial sense for regular commuters. Peer-to-peer parking options offer spaces starting as low as $12 per day near popular King George locations, significantly cheaper than facing towing and impound costs.
