Prevention: Avoiding Towing Situations Entirely

Understanding Dover's parking regulations across different zones, particularly on busy streets like Castle Street and St. James's Street: keeps you safe from accidental violations. Pay close attention to clearway signs, resident-only markings, and meter requirements. Many drivers unknowingly park illegally because signage isn't immediately obvious, especially near the Church of St Martin-le-Grand or during busy shopping periods when foot traffic obscures visibility.
Smart parking choices protect both your vehicle and your wallet. Always verify meter requirements before leaving your car, photograph your parking spot to prove compliance later, and set phone reminders for payment deadlines.
