Turner Signs and the ACT Rule for Permissive Parking
A permissive parking sign controls how long a vehicle may remain in the signed Turner space or area. The ACT parking rule states that a driver must not park continuously on a length of road, or in an area, governed by a permissive parking sign for longer than the period shown on that sign (region.com.au).
The displayed period therefore determines whether a Turner parking stay remains lawful. A driver using a signed space needs to keep the vehicle within the period shown at that location, because the ACT rule applies to the signed road length or area rather than creating one universal time limit for every Turner space (region.com.au).
