Parking Near Worthing
Free Parking Streets and Sundays in Worthing
Worthing drivers looking for an unrestricted space can try Ann Street, Warwick Street, Chatsworth Road and the upper end of Shelley Road, while High Street has free bays rather than unrestricted parking. These streets are identified as evening options, and Shelley Road is listed as free all day on Sundays (bluebirdaesthetics.co.uk). The High Street Multi Storey Car Park near the Guildbourne Centre also offers free parking on the first and last Sunday of each month (worthingheatnetwork.co.uk).
Worthing Town Centre says parking outside its stated charging times includes all day Sunday and Bank Holidays (worthingtowncentre.co.uk). The council’s street information separates town-centre Zone A from outer Zones B and C, so a free period on one street or day does not turn every bay into unrestricted parking. For a short visit, the named streets and Sunday arrangements are the clearest free options supported for Worthing, but each space still depends on its roadside restriction.
Worthing Parking Choices When Free Streets Are Full
Worthing’s free Sunday options can become difficult to secure around busy town-centre visits, particularly when shoppers and leisure visitors arrive at the same time. The first and last Sunday arrangement at the High Street Multi Storey Car Park is especially limited, so it cannot serve as a daily fallback (worthingheatnetwork.co.uk).
When a free space is unavailable, Worthing council car parks provide a published paid alternative. The council tariff is £1.55 for up to 1 hour, £3.30 for up to 2 hours, £4.85 for up to 3 hours, £6.40 for up to 4 hours, £7.90 for up to 5 hours, and £13.40 for over 5 hours or all day (adur-worthing.gov.uk). Those stepped rates suit drivers who need a predictable stay rather than repeated circulation through crowded streets.

Worthing PCN Costs, Payment and Appeals
Adur & Worthing Councils issue Penalty Charge Notices for parking contraventions in Worthing. A driver who receives a PCN can pay an outstanding notice through the Adur & Worthing payment system using a credit or debit card (paynotice.co.uk). The council also provides a lost-PCN service for drivers who need the payment or appeal details after misplacing the notice (adur-worthing.gov.uk).
A Worthing PCN can be challenged through the council’s appeal process. If the appeal is unsuccessful, the council says the driver only has to pay 50% of the fine when payment is made within 14 days of the outcome notification (adur-worthing.gov.uk). This 14-day period follows the appeal outcome, so a driver considering a challenge should retain the notice and use the council’s appeal route rather than treating the PCN as an ordinary parking charge.
